Dismantle the fixture systems
Shelves, brackets, backing panels and supports were separated as the retail fixtures came down.
CLEANOUT PROJECT · SUDBURY, ONTARIO
A large retail space, cleared for its next chapter. Fixture dismantling and removal at the former Toys “R” Us store in Sudbury, Ontario.

THE PROJECT
CanExhibit completed this store-closing project in June 2026. The former Toys “R” Us location included extensive freestanding shelving and perimeter displays across a 49,000+ sq. ft. retail space.
The photographs follow the work through dismantling, grouping fixture components and clearing the interior. They show both the scale of the fixture system and the open floor after removal.
Shelves, brackets, backing panels and supports were separated as the retail fixtures came down.
Dismantled parts were organized across the space as the removal progressed.
The completed photographs show the freestanding fixtures removed and the floor opened up.

THE OUTCOME
The cleared sales floor makes the scale of the former store visible. Existing columns, building systems and floor markings remain; fixture removal is distinct from refurbishment or a new tenant’s fit-out.
For a similar cleanout, share the location, approximate floor area, fixture photos and access details. Tell us what should be removed and what needs to remain.
